You can define a default headline body gap for all the article layouts created by the HB tool.
To define such gap, on the Edit menu, click Preferences, and then click the Extra tab. Click the Split sub-tab. In the Headline/body gap, enter a single value, e.g. 6pt, or 0pt.
Notes
•If you specify the zero gap, the top of the body frames will touch the bottom of the headline frame. In that case, your headline formatting must take this into account and set such headline height to provide for the necessary white space between the headline and the body.
•If the headline/body gap is different than 0, and you activate the Lock to grid feature (Edit > Preferences > Extra > Split > Lock to Grid), the headline/body gap will be automatically adjusted in the way that the top of body frames sits on the page horizontal grid. Therefore, the value you specified in the preferences may not be respected in some cases.
