To avoid to be prompted each time when you unlink an article element from a jump page, either by unlink icon, or by deleting all its frames, configure your system to default to Yes, and to suppress the dialog box.

Add FredRemoveJump statement to the root of the EditorialConfig.

<EditorialConfig

  xmlns="http://www.teradp.com/schemas/GN4/1/EditorialConfig.xsd"

  CmdDefMis="true"

  LibThumbSize="400"

  MasterThumbSize="400"

  EdtNamePatt="$s$n $z"

  FredNamePatt="$e Pag. $s$n $z"

  DPIMinLimit="36"

  DPIMaxLimit="1200"

  DefaultEngraverInfo="9538m,9538m,9538m,9538m,0,1"

  FredRemoveJump="1">

  >

Possible values:

0 = No, jump info will not be removed

1 = Yes, jump info will be removed

2 = Prompt, the dialog will be shown

If the key is missing, the dialog will be shown.

Please have in mind the following:

If you enter 0, Fred4 will not prompt you to remove jump information, and everything will look OK; but the records will continue to be added, and - what is worse - the users can often find themselves in the situation that they're not allowed to remove a jump article from an edition, although they (apparently!) opened and checked-out all layers where the article flows. That's because the booked layers count as linked layers, and to be able to remove a jump article, you have to check-out them as well.

If you enter 1, Fred4 will attempt to remove jump information, but it will work only if all jump and book layers are checked-out by you. Otherwise, the message "One or more layers the text is connected to are not checked-out" is displayed and the unlinking/deleting is aborted. It reminds you that you have to check-out all the jump and booked layers. For the best method to open the jump layers, see Remove a jump article from an edition.
