Fred4 features graphics text frame for local or linked texts. In a frame marked as graphic, the text is converted into shapes dynamically, similar to duplicating text in curves, but remaining still editable as text content.

You can have editable text with all the graphics options available for boxes (stroke color and weight, fill, transparency and shadows). Moreover, there is no limit in the text length as when duplicating it into curves.

Keep in mind that the rendering of long texts with many visual effects may be slow.

To enable graphics text frame on a frame

Select the Graphic Text Frame check-box in the Miscellaneous palette.
