Feathering is a technique used in computer graphics software to soften the edges by fading them to another color over the distance you specify.

After selecting an object the user can select this fill mode from the Area/Image colors palette. The feathering effect can be "sharp" (square angles), "round" (curved angles, not for ellipses) or "cut" (angle removed, not for ellipses). The amount of feathered area is defined by the "Width" parameter (with a maximum value of object width or height).

To apply feathering

1.Select one or more objects.

2.On the Area/Image colors palette, in the first list, select the Feathering option.
