Select overlapping objects

Using the normal tool 182_cursor_16, press and hold the CTRL key.

Click the upper object as many time as needed to select the underlying object. Release the CTRL key.

Notes

As you create or import objects, they are stacked on a page in the order in which they are created. Each successive new object appears in front of all existing objects. The stacking order determines which object is on top when you overlap two objects. You can change the stacking order of objects at any time using the commands in the Tools > Arrange menu.

A separate stack of objects exists within each layer, and the Tools > Arrange order menu commands control stacking only within a layer.

To send an object further forward or backward than the front or back of its layer, see Move or copy objects to another layer. Objects on masters exist at the back of each named layer.
