SYMPTOMS

Font is not printed.

CAUSE

There may be multiple causes for this problem:

1.A font is not available in the PDF resource folder drive:\Program Files\Common Files\TeraDP\PDFLib\Resource\Font.

2.A font is installed on the PDF resource folder, but it's not the same font that's imported in GN4 database.

3.The font name in the Fonts applet in EdAdmin4 is not a valid name. See Copy new fonts in the PDFLIB folder for an example of naming problem.

4.The characters in the font layout have no Postscript name assigned (in general, characters different than a-z and A-Z should have a Postscript name assigned).

 

RESOLUTION

1.Copy fonts in the PDF resource folder.

2.Identify the exact font that's installed in GN4 and copy it in the PDF resource folder.

3.Edit the font name, and make it a valid. See Copy new fonts in the PDFLIB folder for an example of naming problem.

4.Edit the font layout and assign the Postscript names to the characters and then reimport the fonts using such layout.
