IMPORTANT: PERFORM IMPORT STEPS IN THE SAME ORDER AS LISTED IN THIS CHAPTER.

For this step, it is assumed you already imported the typography, font layouts, fonts, hyphenations, libraries and formats, titles, workstates, edition numbers, layer types, geometry presets, groups, users, zones, regions, sections, folders, and masters.

Review the category sets

Before importing the categorySets.xml file, review it in any ASCII editor, and then see under which set are exported the categories. Have in mind that only categories withing the MainCategories set name are available in GN4 to be assigned to the editorial content.

If categories are exported under another set name, replace the original set name with MainCategories before importing.

Import category sets

This topic describes the command line to import category sets exported from GN3 database:

c:\Tera\gn4\bin\srv4 import -in categorySets.xml -opt C:\gn3-2-gn4\GN3Change.xsl

Note

•It is assumed you have the folder C:\gn3-2-gn4\ and that is contains the specified XSL style sheet.

•It is assumed the categorySets.xml was previously exported from GN3 as explained in Export category sets.

•It is assumed that you execute this command on the GN4 IIS server, and in the folder where the exported files are stored.

•It is assumed that srv4.exe is available on the specified path.

•It is assumed you already imported the typography, font layouts, and fonts.
