IMPORTANT: PERFORM IMPORT STEPS IN THE SAME ORDER AS LISTED IN THIS CHAPTER.

For this step, it is assumed you already imported the typography, font layouts, fonts, hyphenations, libraries and formats, titles, workstates, edition numbers, layer types, geometry presets, groups, users, zones, regions, sections, and folders.

This topic describes the command line to import masters exported from GN3 database:

c:\Tera\gn4\bin\srv4 import -in masters.xml -opt C:\gn3-2-gn4\GN3Change.xsl

Note

•It is assumed you have the folder C:\gn3-2-gn4\ and that is contains the specified XSL style sheet.

•It is assumed the masters.xml was previously exported from GN3 as explained in Export masters and layer types.

•It is assumed that you execute this command on the GN4 IIS server, and in the folder where the exported files are stored.

•It is assumed that srv4.exe is available on the specified path.

•If the masters contain images, you need to provide the same drive mounted as it was in GN3, e.g. if the picture files in GN3 are located in W:\foldername, then the GN4 computer where you're performing the import must mount the same path in the same way, ie. as W:\foldername.
