This chapter explains creating editions and templates from scratch.
The procedure has several parts. All parts are important, and you are not supposed to skip any. Furthermore, perform operations in the specified order.
Settings, common for all pages
Firstly select the title (publication) you want to create edition or template for. Then, create the new edition. Before saving it for the first time, define the dimensions of master pages, either by using presets, or manually entering required values. Then, add special master pages (for the first page, for the last page, and for internal non-standard pages - when required). Before adding pages, configure number and names of layers. Finally, add pages you need, and set their default workstate.
Settings, specific for each page
For each page, specify to which section and zone it belongs, which master it uses, what is its color state, when it is supposed to be closed (deadline gap), and if it needs more layers than standard pages.
