Since version 2.2.2673, Fred supports the double pages (spreads) for ads/edition plan from Beacon. As Beacon doesn't know about double pages (spreads), a two step process is required.

To import ads/edition plan with double pages support

1.On the Editions main tab in Fred, create a new edition from an appropriate template.

2.Import ads/edition plan choosing a Beacon Plan.

3.Assuming that the pages 4 and 5 should be a full-spread,  change the master of the page 4 to Double.

4.Delete the page 5.

5.Now reimport the Beacon plan.

The information about the spread 4-5 is kept: Beacon page 4 is handled normally, Beacon page 5 is managed as right part of spread page 4-5 and all the ads in in Beacon page 5 are moved into the right part of page spread 4-5.

All pages/ads updates will recognize that information and it will use it to create correctly the spread pages.
