You can define the default measurement units either on the system level, or on the main tabs level (in personal preferences, to override the system level units).

To define the default measurement units on the system level, you must be an Administrator. See Default (global) units, and Configuring Measurement System chapter.

To define the default measurement units on the main tabs level, see:

•For the Pages and Editions main tab, the Measurement fields on the Main tab.

•For the Articles main tab, the Measures fields on the WYSIWYG tab.
