There are two typical situations to use page creating by copying in the Fred4:
•To create a duplicate of the page in the same or in another edition.
•To create the fastest possible page layout based on Pages Book.
The new page, created in the target edition by copying a source page, contains the copies of all the text linked to the source page of the page book, with original names changed and stories/images moved optionally to desired folder. The images are not copied. just an additional link is established to the same image. The original master page is copied too.
Duplicating page content
Duplication of page content is required for edition variation when part of a page is changed in the next edition, but some text will remain the same. Then, a page is copied, with all its content, some text is removed and other text is possible shortened or reformatted.
