GN4 User Browser module runs in a standard browser (IE, Chrome, Firefox etc) on any desktop operating system, and also on various mobile devices, and connects to a GN4 server in a LAN, WAN (including but not requiring VPN) and over Internet connection.

It gives you full access to the newsroom content, for creating and editing stories and articles, uploading, reviewing and sending/slugging content. You can also look at editions, events and tasks.

Typical URL to connect is http://main.teradp.com/GN4/.

You can use GN4 browser on a basic level, ie. to write plain text and upload content, or on an advanced level, to write formatted text to fit to the assigned space on paper page, and to manage different kind of content (text, articles, images, graphic, audio, video, documents, all of above in practically any format), to create, locate, review, and enrich content, to publish it in a number of formats on the selected publishing destinations. You can upload/import content, retrieve and export or transform it, work with wires and/or archive, organize newsroom work and/or review your tasks, contacts, events, budgets and so on. You can validate content and send it in the copy flow.

Natively, GN4 browser edits only textual content of multimedia articles. For all other "non-text" content formats, such as images, videos, audios, etc. a dedicated third-party editor (optional) can be launched from the GN4 browser.

You can use GN4 browser together with Adobe applications.

Please note that all the functionalities that User Browser offers, but even more powerful, are available in the GN4 client applications, such as Ted4 and Fred4.

The standard GN4 browser does not include system administration functions - use the EdAdmin4 or Administrative browser for that purpose.

GN4 browser features several main tabs, and every main tab is dedicated to the specific functionality.
