When dragging library object from a Library navigator to a page, press and hold CTRL to temporarily disable the tool - the object is placed on page, but no tool is run.

Note: it is not possible to select which tool to execute and which not: the CTRL key disables all tool setting.

When the tool is disabled, the replacement of existing page objects with the library objects can result in a messed up article layouts. Therefore, do not attempt to replace the existing page objects with the tool disabled.
