Estimated number of characters in a headline

You can display the estimated number of characters to fill up a headline.

This works under two conditions:

The option 'Display number of characters for headlines' in the Edit > Preferences > Main tab must be selected in your personal preferences.

The minimum and the maximum number of lines in the style used to format the headline paragraph has to be defined.

The text/word counter indicator in the status line then displays the current/required number of characters for the paragraph.

The 'current number' is just the number of text characters in the paragraph.

The 'required number' is an estimate of the number of characters needed to fill the paragraph to the required number of lines specified by its style. The required number is computed filling the paragraph with dummy text (as done by the Text.InsDummyText scripting command) and counting the dummy text characters. Note that to have good result it is important to define appropriate dummy texts  - especially dummy texts long enough to fill completely all the possible paragraphs.

Please note that in the paragraphs, formatted by styles without minimum and maximum number of lines, the counter turns to the characters/words counter.
