GN4 has built-in auto-recovery from broken connection, without any need to restart applications.

It can be simulated disconnecting your network card, or resetting the IIS.

The only limitation in versions prior to 2.1 is that, when the connection is restored, you should have the same IP address as before.

Otherwise, if the server session timeout has not been reached in the mean time e.g. with Back4 service cleaning the login entries, you will get the error "Session expired (trying to access session data from a different client…"
