COMMENT |
The last word of a selected block is hyphenated in the default language and not in the one you've selected. |
Select also the trailing space after the word, or a punctuation mark.
|
By design, the word is hyphenated with the hyphenation which is the first tag after the word, and not the tag before the word. |
When you try to forcibly disable the hyphenation on a word, containing a hyphen character, e.g. vice-chair, by inserting a discretional hyphen before the word, e.g. >-<vice-chair, the word still gets hyphenated. |
Edit all your formats, and remove the hyphen character from the Breakable chars field. |
The hyphen character is entered as a 'breakable char' in the Global dialog of the current format. |
Words should break after X letters |
Edit all your formats and then set hyphenation defaults to the desired number of characters. |
|
Proper nouns are not hyphenated at all |
Such words may be not a part of the dictionary, so you need to add them to exceptions. |
