Set the vertical spacing between a table and a text that surrounds it in the related text paragraphs.

To make a space between text before the table and the table itself, place the cursor in any line of the last paragraph of text before the table, and then in the Paragraph palette, specify Space after.

To make a space between the table and the text below, place the cursor in any line of the first paragraph of text after the table, and then use the same dialog box, but specify the Space before.
