An example is available in Paste table from Excel. |
1.Select and copy to clipboard the content from Word or Excel table you want to paste in a Fred4 table. 2.Open a text that already contains the appropriate number of rows and columns in a GN4 table. Note: the table has to have the same number of columns as the source text, and at least the same number of rows as the source text. 3.Select all the existing content in the table. You may want to do this in the text editing window, where you can see better what's selected. Note: even if tags are revealed, and you select also the table structure, Paste with tabs as explained in the step 4 will not wipe them out. 4.On the Edit menu, select Paste with tabs. Note: if you do not use Paste with tabs, but the standard paste, your table will be wiped out and replaced with just a text. In such case, press CTRL+Z to undo, and then paste by means of Paste with tabs. |
Note: you can only import and paste data, not the formatting.
