To handle Chinese characters in GN4 (left-to-right writing), a specific font layout is required: unicode_zh.xml.

Import the font layout on your system by the srv4 command:

Srv4 import c:\temp\unicode_zh.xml

Once done, import a suitable font for rendering the Chinese characters, for example the Microsoft JhengHei font.

Install the font in Windows and then load it into GN4 as explained in Install fonts in GN4.
