Note: this topic applies on main headline, kicker/strap, subhead and similar.
Single element multiformatted headline consists of one or more text lines where a part of the text is formatted differently, as on the following screenshots.
Formatting of such a headline requires one or more styles, and therefore, cannot be based on format defaults as for Single-element simple headlines, but you need to create and apply styles.
Headline with a cascading style
This headline is formatted by a cascading style that defines the formatting for the first part (red text all capitals), and, after the user inserts a Bell sign (by pressing F10), it switches to the formatting for the second part (black text, mixed case).
Headline with a cascading style and underline
This headline is formatted by a cascading style that defines the frame-wide underline for all headline content, and the formatting for the first part (red text all capitals), and, after the user inserts a Bell sign (by pressing F10), it switches to the formatting for the second part (black text, all capitals).
Headline with two color changes
This headline is formatted by a cascading style that defines the formatting for the first part (yellow text all capitals), and, after the user inserts a Bell sign (by pressing F10), it switches to the formatting for the second part (white text, mixed case), and, after the user inserts another Bell sign (by pressing F10), it switches to the formatting for the third part (yellow text, mixed case).
You can apply such concept on main headline, kicker or strap, subhead etc.
