Unlocking a layer you locked

In Fred4, display a Layers palette (Windows > Palettes), right-click the locked layer and then select Recover.

Note: this won't work if the layer was locked by someone else, see below.

Note: perform this step only if you are 100% sure that the lock is due to a crash, and that the listed user is not logged in and not working on a given layer.
