There are several conditions where refreshing and updating images on a page becomes an issue:
•You can book the space for a image by creating a dummy image. When for such dummy image the file with the same name is dropped in OPI, the page is updated and dummy replaced with the real image.
•An existing image can be dropped again in the OPI, e.g. when you changed brightness or contrast. Again, you want page to be updated.
•In both of above situations, the image file dimensions may be different than the image box dimensions, and they could also be unproportional, requiring image distortion. The difference can be anything from 1/1000pt, or 10% or 100% or more.
This chapter explains how GN4 handles such cases.
