This is a problem report, as received on the Tera support desk. This report is considered good enough. The report text is in blue color.
We have a client that's trying to run GN4 on a Windows XP machine. He uses SQL Server 2008. He's getting error messages when trying to run GN4 applications (see attached file).
Bellow follows the list of the builds installed there:
1) TED - xxxx
2) FRED - xxxx
Why this report is considered as good enough:
•The status of system changes is clearly stated: trying to run GN4 on a Windows XP machine.
•The versions are clearly stated: SQL Server 2008, and versions of GN4
•The steps to reproduce are clearly stated: "...when trying to run GN4 applications..."
•The screenshots of error messages are attached.
What is missing from this report, and it was supposed to be there:
•The urgency is not stated. This prevents the support desk to prioritize the report.
What is missing from this report, but is wasn't either applicable or needed:
•The time when the problem started is not stated, but apparently it was not time-related problem.
•The test on the latest version was not performed, but it would not make sense for the purpose.
•There was no script involved.
•The problem scope is not stated, but it was assumed the same problem would happen on any XP computer.
