A very good problem report

This is a problem report, as received on the Miles 33 support desk. This report is considered very good. The report text is in blue color.

We have a fairly urgent problem this morning. Late last week we patched two centres (XXXX and YYYY) from 1.2.xxxx.x to 1.2.xxxx.y in doing so we've come across a problem. We've also tested this on build 1.1.xxxx.x and find the same problem.

1.Perform a search ' elements assigned to page or edition'
2.Highlight chosen element and right click or go to the 'file' menu and select copy
3.Copy Text Dialogue fails to appear so the user is unable to rename the story and select a folder to copy the story to.

This is the filecopy script the user has sent to me, it looks perfectly correct:

The user has no problems copying from any other search e.g. folders listing; this is simply a problem when performing that search.

Why this report is considered as very good:

•The urgency is clearly stated: "We have a fairly urgent problem". This helps the support desk to prioritize the report.

•The time when the problem started is clearly stated: "this morning".

•The status of system changes is clearly stated: Late last week we patched two centres (XXXX and YYYY).

•The old and new versions are clearly stated: from 1.2.xxxx.x to 1.2.xxxx.y

•The test on the latest version is performed: We've also tested this on build 1.1.xxxx.x and find the same problem.

•The problem scope is clearly stated: (for articles and texts), and The user has no problems copying from any other search e.g. folders listing.

•The steps to reproduce are clear.

•The involved script is attached.

Practically, the submitter pin-pointed the problem already, and it was solved very quickly.
