GN4 support a variety of languages and scripts, including Chinese and Arabic languages and scripts (see i4 and RTL). This applies also on SQL database engine and storage.

However, the support to RTL (right-to-left) scripts is limited to GNPortal, Tark4 and i4 browser based interfaces, as well as the Adobe suite applications Middle East edition.

GN4 Ted4, Fred4, Shell4 and EdAdmin4 are not able to display and edit in languages using scripts different of LTR (left-to-right). Such development is not planned.
