To preserve the workspace exactly 'as-is', before saving the workspace, tick the Include Searches option.

The workspace, when loaded, will re-run the searches and display also the directory style / sorting that was current when the workspace was saved.

Use this option to preserve all search criteria as they are in the moment when you save the workspace.

Warning: before saving a workspace, make sure you selected the appropriate main tab and the appropriate navigator you want to be in the foreground in the future sessions.
