Short name

The short name of a page layer is as defined in the Name field as explained in the Create a new layer topic.

Descriptive name

The descriptive name of a layer is obtained concatenating the descriptive name of the edition with the layer name.

Example

•Page layer 'Editorial#1.1' in the edition 'DN 2/10/2010': short name 'Editorial#1.1', descriptive name 'DN 2/10/2010 Editorial#1.1'.
