Reboot of GN4 servers

Before rebooting database server

On the IIS server, stop IIS.

On the Back4 server, put in pause the service.

On the Exalead server there's no need to do anything.

On the Web server, there's no need to do anything.

On all client computers:

Warn all users to exit all GN applications they may be using.

Now you can shutdown and restart the database server.

Before rebooting IIS server

On the Back4 server, put in pause the service.

Before rebooting Back4 server

There's no need to do anything else, just reboot it.

Before rebooting Exalead server

There's no need to do anything else, just reboot it.

Before rebooting any other server

Make sure that Back4 is not polling any folder on that server, otherwise remember to restart the Back4 service after reboot.

After reboot

Make sure all the required services are started.

On all servers where you stopped queues, release them. Verify that no error is displayed when queues are released.

If you rebooted a server that was polled by one or more Back4 services on another servers, restart all Back4 instances on those servers to reestablish the authentication.

On client computers, warn all users to restart applications.
