Installation

The following components have to be installed. Version 2.0 or higher of GN4 is distributed with the relevant VB.NET class, workflow, schema changes and strings.

•	TBarCode .NET (this is the software that will actually create the file. It can be downloaded from http://bit.ly/1ePAp3e. Please note that this software isn’t developed by Miles 33, only licensed. At the date of this document, Miles 33 has licensed version 11 of this software)

•	OCR-A font (free OCR-A font to be displayed in the image)

The .NET component will have to be manually installed on the GN4 WEB server. This file is installed by default in C:\Program Files\Common Files\TEC-IT\TBarCode\<version.number>\ TECIT.TBarCode.dll and it should be copied to the WEB\BIN folder of GN4 (usually: C:\Tera\GN4\Web\GNPortal\BIN).

Please note that the installing engineer will have to write a Fred script to be associated to a menu to generate the barcode. The class and workflow have already been installed in the system as part of the installation procedure.

An OCR-A font has been provided with this package. It consists of a TTF, PFB and AFM fonts (although the package contains other formats as well, these are not necessary). This font will have to be installed on the WEB server as a Windows font (the TTF) and on the Back4 server(s). This is a free font and no license is necessary for its use.
