It will also not crash if a config file is missing.

[22] Adobe Plugin: The I4 plugin does not work with Windows Auth I4.

If RequiredLogin is set to false the user is not asked for the user name and password, it also just sets the url for the item so will use windows auth.
 
Also if only 1 item in the userconfig and it does not RequiredLogin a login then it will just log the windows user in.
 
Can also create a connection with RequiredLogin set to true or false.

The InDesign plugin will create a clientSpec for each user if the user does not have one defined, or is in use. The name of the clientSpec created is 'INSN_Username' where Username is the name of the current user.
 
When using this client spec they can only use on one machine at a time.
