An alternative to drag items to another main tab is to click the (+) icon under items that puts items on the special internal clipboard (you can't use CTRL+C in this case).

Then, on the target main tab, display the Clipboard navigator and drag items from there.

Click the (+) icon before items to put items on the special internal clipboard. For the items, put on clipboard, the icon turns into (-). Then, click Clipboard menu to manage the clipboard.
