Use Editorial Navigator

Use the Editorial navigator when you need to locate an article, editorial image, wire text, image, audio or video.

Should you need to perform operations on articles, editorial images and wires, more oriented to managing (browsing, retrieving, sending etc) and do not include content editing, you may want to use the Shell main tab instead.

In the current default configuration, you can locate editorial content and wires by name, folder, type, any word in text, source, and modification date. Your customized configuration may be different than the standard configuration, so you might have available more or less or different options. You can combine more search options at once.

There are two versions of search pane: without options buttons, full text and dates (Basic), or with (Advanced).

To find content by name, type the name to find in the Name box. The default operator on the Basic pane is "containing", while on the Advanced pane, you can select the option.

You can combine "find by name" with all other search options on the same pane. More search options can be easily added in the configuration.

When done, click the refresh button refreshbutton, if the listing does not get refreshed automatically.

To find content by any word in text, type the word(s) to find in the FullText box. Select the operator "All" to search for all entered words.

When done, click the refresh button refreshbutton, if the listing does not get refreshed automatically.

To find content by folder, click the Folder box, and then select a folder. Note: the search option is automatically set to In, but you can select other search options.

To find content by modified date, click the Date box, and then select what you want.

When done, click the refresh button refreshbutton, if the listing does not get refreshed automatically.

To find content by type, click the Type box, and then select one or more types. Available types are: articles, editorial image, story (wire text), image (wire image), audio and video.

When done, click the refresh button refreshbutton, if the listing does not get refreshed automatically.

Drag the found any wires item on the article tree of an article, opened on the Articles main tab.

Drag wires text item over a body text in an article opened on the Articles main tab, or on a body frame of a linked article on a page
Click to toggle expandTo display the draft view

Click the button_small_left to expand the draft sidebar to review the content of the selected item.

You may also want to widen the navigator when viewing draft sidebar..

Click the 113_Refresh_16 refresh button.
