Sharing content between pages/editions

You can share the same content among pages.

Place the shareable content on a page layer that get shared among pages of the same or different editions within the same title.

Each time you modify content on the shared layer on any of those pages, or in Ted4, the change gets visible on all such pages (subject of refresh).

The content position, size and formatting appears the same on all such pages.

For articles, it is also possible to have different position, formatting and size (length) on shared layers, if layers belong to different regions. See Multiple geometries.

To learn more, see:

Creating editions with shared content

Note

In a simple sharing (no multiple geometries), the shared content is linked to only one place, in other words, to a page layer.

The "magic" happens because multiple pages "link" to the same layer. So the content appears to exists on all of those pages - but it's not a duplication, it's just a "shortcut", similar to Microsoft Windows shortcuts - many links to the same item.
