Unregistering DLLs in GAC for version 1.5 or newer on a GN4 server

You may want to unregister DLLs from GAC (for example, if using Windows 2012 R2 server and GN4 2.0, or Windows 8.1 and GN4. 2.0 or newer - GAC is not needed or allowed, or before re-registering them on older server operating systems).
You need the following files: gacutil.exe, gacutil.exe.config, gacutlrc.dll. You can download it from http://tech.teradp.com/tech/download/gnportal/microsoft/gacutil.zip. Put them in the C:\TERA\GN4 folder. Run the Administrator Command Prompt (Run as Administrator) and then execute: c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u gnpage c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u gntext c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u gncore c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u common c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u gnclient c:\tera\gn4\gacutil /u editorial Recycle application pool on all GN4 IIS servers after unregistering. |
