Installing standard configuration files

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 25/Aug/2014, at 10:44

Unzip GN4CONFIG.ZIP in TERA\GN4\CONFIG\.

Normally, this is done on one of GN4 servers, e.g. an IIS server or Back4 server.

Select one GN4 as the "main repository" and another as "backup repository".

Important

Once you've modified any of configuration files on your system (while customizing it), you must not overwrite them with files from the standard distribution, as they will reset your system to the factory settings.

Note

The configuration files are not needed at the run-time. All the configuration files need to be loaded in the database in order the system can access them. However, you may want to have them handy in case you want to edit them and to load them.
