You can create a task on the Planning main tab in Ted4/Fred4 or on the Events main tab in the browser.
1.Launch Ted4 or Fred4, and then display the Planning main tab. 2.On the navigator, select the Tasks navigator, and then select a calendar. 3.On the File menu, point to New and then click Task. 4.Enter data related to the task. 5.Click Ok. |

Note
To be able to create a task in a given parent calendar, there must exist a calendar copy flow for that parent calendar, otherwise, the task is not created. See Create a calendar copy flow for instructions on how to create required copy flow.
Bug fixing
Bug report GN4-2344 - Clients: calendar combobox loses the selection when creating a new tasks. Fixed starting from 2.0.2236.x and 1.6.2236.x.
