Control bar appears on top of the search criteria zone of a navigator (where provided), and it often includes the saved search command bar.

Control bar in Ted4 and Fred4 in version 2.3 or newer

Control bar contains an a search form expander button (1), the refresh search button (2), saved search drop-down list (3), save button to save the current criteria as a new search (4), delete selected saved search button(5), unselect saved searches (6), optional search form selector (7). There might be another expander for the optional preview , next to the search form selector (not shown on the following screenshot).

About expander

While optional expander (1) toggles the display of the search form (to make more space for the search results on navigators that contains results below search criteria zone), the one-line control bar always remains on screen. That's handy, as you can continue to select (3) and run (5) saved searches keeping the search criteria zone collapsed.

Some navigators do not contain search form selector (8) and the draft view expander (9).

Control bar in GN4 browser

Control bar is simpler, and it contains a clear form button (1), saved search list (2), remove selected saved search button (3), and the tooltip of the saved search list (4).
