Changes of spell-checker in version 1.4.1410.0

Build 1501 on 14/Nov/2017  This topic last edited on: 14/Sep/2015, at 12:32

The configuration sections <CSApi> (in EditorialConfig.xml) and <SpellCheckerList> (in ServerConfig.xml) have been standardized, merged and moved to a new <CSApi> section in GlobalConfig.xml.

In order to update your system, you have two possibilities:

a) If you already were using SpellChecker with Ted4 (ans so, you had EditorialConfig.xml correctly configured):

1. Cut and paste the CSApi element from EditorialConfig.xml to GlobalConfig.xml.

2. In GlobalConfig.xml:

Delete all the attributes CSApi/Spell/Name

Remove all CSApi/Spell/SpellOptKey elements for which the attribute CSApi/Spell/SpellOptKey/Value is set to “0”.

3. Remove the SpellCheckerList element from ServerConfig.xml.

4. Reimport EditorialConfig.xml, GlobalConfig.xml, and ServerConfig.xml.

b) If you were using only SpellChecker in GNPortal and/or in edit/creation forms in client applications:

Take the version of GlobalConfig.xml distributed with the daily build, and adjust it to your installation.

Important

Spellchecker library files and dictionary files must all be placed in the folder containing executables (for client applications) or in the bin folder of the web application (for GNPortal, Tark4 and GN4 browser)

IMPORTANT: To make these changes available to the GN4 users, after you saved the GLOBALCONFIG.XML file and imported it into the database, or after you modified it in EdAdmin4 and saved, recycle the GN4 application pools on all IIS servers and then make all users log out and log back in.
