After you created a page book from an existing edition, you need to empty the articles content, add (optionally) headline placeholders, and convert images to dummy images. Moreover, you need to decide what to do with advertisement spaces.
This is per-element procedure. Page book articles typically do not contain any text, but only few placeholders - if any. Therefore, delete all text from all elements of all articles, but ensure to keep the formatting. |
This is per-image procedure. 1.In each article on a page, click a linked image, and then press CTRL+H. Confirm you want to replace it with the placeholder. 2.Display the Article pane (press A), right-click the image in the pane and then select Remove from article. 3.Select the image placeholder and press L to link it to the article. When Fred4 prompts you for the image folder, select the book folder. |
This is per-article procedure. 1.Click any frame of an article on a page, and then click the Properties icon. 2.Change the article name to something suitable, as explained in Planning a page book naming conventions. |
The best is to leave empty spaces for ads. In that way, the advertising system can import them on pages. |
