An event is an information about something that's about to happen. An event has a number of properties (defined in the GN4 XML schema), where the most important ones are:

•An event is stored within a parent calendar.

•A task may be created from an event.

•An event has a number of date/time related properties, e.g. start date and time, duration etc.

•You can assign to an event a number of descriptive properties, such as description, who to contact, location, notes, keywords, categories and other - that depend on what is available in the GN4 XML schema.
