Paste objects on the same page

To paste an object (or a copy of it) in a new location, on the Edit menu, click Cut or Copy.

On the Edit menu, select > Paste.

The object is appended on the pointer, so you can select where to paste it.

Click to paste it.

Paste objects on a different layer or page

On the Edit menu, click Cut or Copy.

Select the destination layer, page or spread, and then on the Edit menu, select > Paste.

The object appears on the same position as on the original page.

To select a place where to paste a copy, on the Edit menu, select Paste floating.

Note: If you want an object to appear in the same position on many pages, consider creating a master page and paste the object on it.
