To make a specific layer current on page opening (for one page)

In the Layers palette, check-out the list, and then drag the layer you want to become the current layer on page opening so it becomes first layer.

To make a specific layer current on page opening (for all pages in one edition)

1.	Open the edition template or the edition in Edition Manager, and then check out all the pages.

2.	Drag the layer you want to become the current layer on page opening so it becomes first layer.

3.	Check-in all pages and save the edition.

If you perform the above operation on an edition template, when all the new editions based on such template, the current layer will be the one, listed first in the template. If perform it on an existing edition, the change of current layer is applied only on that edition.
