Automatic save is defined as a personal preference, independently for each user, and independently for text and for pages.

By default auto-save is not enabled.

There are two auto-saves: one for pages (Pages main tab, Edit > Preferences), and one for articles (Articles main tab, Edit > Preferences, or during text editing on the Pages main tab, Edit > Preferences).

The dialog box titles are Fred4 Preferences (for pages), and Ted4 preferences (for text editing).
