Use the Select All command to select all objects on a spread and its pasteboard. The command is enabled only if the current tool is the Normal tool . On the Edit menu, point to Select, and then click All, or press CTRL+A.

The Select All command won’t select the objects positioned on layers different than the current layer.

To deselect all objects on the current layer

•On the Edit menu, point to Select and then click Unselect All.

•With the Normal tool click on the empty space on the page.

•Press Z.
