You can review a page editing status (ie. who is editing the page right now).
On the Pages navigator (Pages main tab) in Fred4
On the Pages navigator, the pages in editing (either by you or by other users) get marked with an icon below the page thumbnail. It's enough that someone edits at least one layer of the page, or the page metadata, and the icon appears.
If you hover the mouse over the icon, a pop-up appears displaying the list of layers that are in use.
On the figure, the layers 2,L2,R2,C2,Ads2 and AdsC2 are in use by the same user.
The list of layers do not include all page layers, but only the layers that are in use.
Note
The navigator won't refresh the status of user layers in real-time. Thus, you need to refresh it manually, also after yielding some layers to other users.
To refresh it, click the Navigator's refresh button.
On the Layers palette (Pages main tab) in Fred4
On the layers palette, you can see who's using the page layers.
The layers, in editing by you, are marked as <checked-out>. Layers, not in editing, are marked as <free>. Layers in editing by other users are marked as <user name>.
