Move the insertion point in text and in a table
•Point and click in the text.
•Use arrow keys
•Use Page up/PAGE down keys.
Note
Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys move the insertion point in one-line steps, while PgUp and PgDn move for more lines. In a table, point and click in the table cell or press arrow keys, to move left or right, up or down.
Select in text
•Click and drag.
•To select all text, on the Edit menu, point to Select and then click Select All.
•To select a paragraph, hold SHIFT+ALT and then click in the paragraph.
•To select a sentence, hold CTRL and click. To select a word, double-click it.
Type over existing text
By default, any new text you type is inserted between existing text. If you want to replace or "type over" text, switch to the "Overtype" mode by pressing the Insert key.
Replace selected text as you type
When you select text and start typing, Ted4 replaces the entire selection with the first character you type. This saves editing time, because you can delete and replace text in one step.
Restore the text after an involuntary editing
Press CTRL+Z.
