This error occurs when in the configuration files there are one or more directory styles with the same name.

To correct this error

Review the browser configuration files e.g. BasePortalConfig, gnpc_Config and similar related files.

Find those files in the SVN repository of your system (see Using SVN as source control), or - if no SVN is used - in the Config\Global folder and its subfolders.

Open files in a XML editor, or Visual Studio and then try to locate the corrupted or incomplete configuration section, related to the reported configuration item.

Fix the problem, reload the changed configuration file as explained in Importing configuration files in database (quick chart), and then retry.

If you are unable to fix the problem, load the last good backup configuration file and then retry. You may loose all configuration changes applied after the last good backup was created.
