Palettes are listed under the Window > Palettes Sidebar drop down menu. Number of palettes appear by default in the right sidebar, and others float in the main window.
In Fred4, the first-level cascading menu lists all page-related palettes, and the second-level menu (Text Editing) lists text-editing related palettes. In Ted4, or on the Articles main tab in Fred4, the first-level menu lists lists text-editing related palettes
A check mark next to the palette’s name indicates that the palette is displayed (if the palette is displayed in a sidebar, and the sidebar is collapsed, you won't see them on screen - in that case, expand the sidebar by clicking its icon.
For the palette that have a cross icon in the upper right corner, you can close them by clicking that icon.
Important: Text editing palettes can be accessed only when in text editing.
If the sidebar is empty, click Open All Palettes to populate it.
If you did that but still can't see all the palettes, a possible reason may be that your vertical screen resolution is too low. In that case, collapse some palettes as explained in the paragraph "Collapsing and expanding palettes".
