Milestones are control points for deadlines. Milestones warn you that you might break a deadline BEFORE it actually happens..
Use the EdAdmin4 to create milestones for pages, stories, images, and articles. All milestones are title-related, and cover one or more conditions.
You can also chain more milestones together, to resolve a request, that, for example, a story must be in the 'ready' workstate 20 minutes before the page deadline, but it must be in the 'approving' workstate 40 minutes before.

Description of the figure: This page-related milestone assumes that in your newspaper named "Daily", a section head marks pages as proofed, by manually setting their workstate to "Press Proof". This is supposed to happen not later than 15 minutes before the page deadline.
